The message, allegedly sent by a Galatasaray fan claiming to be affiliated with the Turkish Mafia, warned the Napoli executive to release Osimhen to the Istanbul club “or face ugly consequences” for himself and his family.

Turkish journalist Samet Çayır published screenshots of the alleged messages, which have since caused outrage among football circles and highlighted the growing extremism around high-profile transfers.

While the authenticity of the sender’s identity remains under investigation, the threats are another example of the bad blood surrounding Osimhen’s possible return to Galatasaray, where he starred last season on loan.

The two clubs remain locked in tense negotiations, with the main stumbling block being Napoli’s financial requirements.

According to reports from Football Italia’s Alfredo Pedullà, the Serie A club is adamant about receiving €75 million in total, with an upfront payment of €40 million this summer and an additional €35 million next year, paid in a single installment.

Furthermore, Napoli are now requesting a sell-on clause, which would entitle them to a percentage of any future transfer fee if Galatasaray were to sell Osimhen.

However, Galatasaray have flat-out rejected these conditions. The Turkish champions prefer to complete the payments by 2027 and are unwilling to include any sell-on clause in the deal. This financial gridlock continues to complicate the striker’s highly anticipated move.
