Mukwala makes Ghana Premier League team of the first round
Steven Desi Mukwala put away the frustrations of an early struggle at Ghanaian giant Asante Kotoko to put up a spirited performance that has earned him recognition.
The striker left URA FC in August last year ending his running three-year contract. He joined Kotoko on a two-year deal with an option to extend.
The Uganda cranes striker however, had to wait until the end of October to score his first goal in Kotoko’s 3-0 win over King Faisal in the league.
From there on, the 23-year-old forward has gone on to score seven more to place him joint-top on the leading scorers' list.
He has eight alongside Mizack Afriyie from Berekum Chelsea. Mukwala was included in the best team from the first round.
