Mourinho wants to sign Barcelona flop once dubbed next Messi

Jose Mourinho is reportedly looking to boost his team. He is eyeing Barcelona forward Ansu Fati in the January transfer window.

Fenerbahce is currently second on the Turkish league table, just six points behind leaders Osimhen's Galatasaray. Mourinho hopes Fati can provide the extra spark needed to secure the title.

According to AS, Fati is once again struggling for consistent playing time at Barcelona, having made only one start under Hansi Flick.

Injuries have hampered Fati's progress in years, preventing him from recapturing the form he displayed upon his initial breakthrough at the club, which made many dubbed him little Messi.

With competition from established stars in the team, Fati faces a difficult path to regular minutes at the Camp Nou.

A move to a club where he can play regularly could be beneficial for him to reignite his career.  

The transfer window in most of Europe's major leagues closes on Monday, February 3rd, the Turkish transfer window remains open until Tuesday, February 11, 2025, giving Mourinho and Fenerbahce additional time to pursue the Barcelona forward.
