Joe Cole believes Arsenal have the most exciting player in Europe after their first leg 7-1 win over PSV on Tuesday night.

The ex-Chelsea man was mightily impressed by Gunners teenage sensation Ethan Nwaneri, backing him to achieve great things in his career.

Nwaneri started on the right wing and scored a beautiful goal to give Arsenal a 2-0 advantage.

The 17-year-old has been crucial in softening the blow of Bukayo Saka's long-term absence and Cole is amazed by his talent at such a young age.

“For me, he is so good,” Cole told TNT Sports.

“I think he is going to be an absolute genius. I think he is the most exciting footballer in England and maybe Europe. What he is doing is incredible,” he said.

Nwaneri has improved steadily on a weekly basis, contributing 8 goals and 2 assists in 27 appearances across all competitions for Mikel Arteta's men this season.
