More problems for Ten Hag as Manchester United suffer Andre Onana blow
Dutch manager Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United can’t catch a break after suffering another setback with goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Onana was unable to finish Cameroon’s first match in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier, WCQ after he was forced off against Mauritius.
Manchester United’s Onana injured
The 27-year-old Cameroonian started his country’s first game of the qualifiers as they hosted Mauritius in Yaounde.
However, Onana only lasted 10 minutes as his day was cut short by an injury which forced him off the game on Friday.
Onana’s injury comes as the latest blow for his Premier League side, Manchester United, who have been blighted all season by injuries.
The Cameroonian becomes the latest Red Devil to pick up an injury during the current international break for his country.
His teammates, Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen were the first two to pull out of the international after they left Denmark’s camp.
More woes for United
Manchester United are already without some key players this season, with Jonny Evans, Casemiro and Luke Shaw all out for the Ten Hag’s Reds.
Also, per a report by Goal, English forward, Marcus Rashford was forced off on Friday after he picked up a knock in England’s win against Malta.
United are yet to comment on both injuries, Onana is said to have an adductor injury and will undergo further examination to understand the extent of the injury per Actucameroun.
Ten Hag’s Manchester United will travel to Goodison Park to face deflated Everton when the league resumes next weekend.
