Minimal impact — Carragher says Arsenal star has been poor at EURO 2024

Jamie Carragher has laid the blame on Bukayo Saka's door, saying the Arsenal man has underperformed so far.

England have been disappointing in their 3 games so far, with manager Gareth Southgate receiving a lot of stick for his negative tactics.

The Three Lions managed a narrow 1-0 win against Serbia in their opener and could only salvage 1-1 and 0-0 draws against Denmark and Slovenia, respectively.

Carragher, speaking about the England team after their draw with Slovenia, singled out Saka for criticism.

 “Saka is outstanding for Arsenal but he has had minimal impact in the past two-and-a-half games," Carragher said.

"At what point do we take a step back and agree that the underperformance is as much about individuals as the tactics?”
