Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC will have to make do without skipper Milton Karisa when they visit Soltilo Bright Stars FC later in the day at Kavumba Recreation Center.

Karisa sustained a hamstring injury in Vipers' previous game with SC Villa as they drew one-all at the St Mary's Stadium, Kitende, last Saturday.

And the Venoms have confirmed he won't feature against Bright Stars as he is still undergoing recovery.

"Our team captain is not available for tomorrow's match but aims to rejoin full training next week," Vipers revealed.

"He has made very good progress since sustaining a hamstring injury in the game against SC Villa last week."

Karisa has been a Vipers' mainstay, who rarely sits out games and has played in each of the four league games this season.

Last season, the hardworking forward only sat out two games as he played 26, scoring nine and assisting as many goals.

This, coupled with the Uganda Cup, CAF Champions League as well as national team matches, implied Karisa was bound to give in to cramp at some point.

On the other hand, midfielder Marvin Joseph Youngman has also been ruled out of the game against his former team through strain.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian forward Fumador Asiwome, attacking midfielder Allan Okello and defender Hillary Mukundane continue to be sidelined through respective injury layoffs.
