Michelle Alozie: Super Falcons star receives red card as Houston Dash loses to San Diego Wave
Super Falcons of Nigeria star Michelle Alozie is trending after her latest appearance for the Houston Dash.
Alozie was named in the Houston Dash starting lineup for their NWSL fixture against the San Diego Wave.

The game between two NWSL playoff contenders started out well with attacking stints back and forth.
The complexion of the game would, however, change in the 33rd minute when Nigerian defender Alozie received a red card.
Alozie was unable to control the ball from a throw-in and brought down her opponent, who was through on goal.
As the last defender before the tackle was made, center referee Ekaterina Koroleva made the decision to send off Alozie.

Houston Dash loses to San Diego Wave
Houston Dash coach Sam Laity brought on Joelle Anderson for Courtney Petersen to help out with the team's structure.
The away side down a player were able to hold on as they went to the halftime break level.
However, the breakthrough would come for the San Diego Wave when 18-year-old Jaedyn Shaw converted a ball through to her by Christen Westphal in the 57th minute.
The San Diego Wave tried to put the game to bed with a second but the Houston Dash were difficult to break down.

Houston Dash were unable to find an equaliser as the San Diego Wave held for all three points.
Alozie's red card comes after she was the hero for Houston Dash with a goal as they drew against KC Current.
The red card for Alozie now means that she will miss the next game for Houston Dash away against Uchenna Kanu's Racing Louisville.
