Mbappe eyes gold at Paris Olympics ahead of potential Real Madrid move

In the midst of ongoing discussions regarding a potential move to Real Madrid, French forward Kylian Mbappe expressed his optimism about participating in the Paris Olympics this summer.

Despite the swirling transfer talks, Mbappe revealed on Friday that he remains hopeful of joining the Olympics squad, emphasizing that no official communication has indicated otherwise.

The talented striker, whose contract with Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire this summer, is widely expected to join Real Madrid, with recent reports suggesting advanced negotiations between the player and the LaLiga giants.

"I have always had the same ambition. I have always said that I wanted to go [to the Olympics] but it doesn't depend on me," Mbappe said in a news conference ahead of France's friendly with Germany on Saturday.

"I can't say anything because no one has told me anything. If I can't do the Olympics so be it.

"When I say no one has told me anything, I am talking about PSG. I am under contract with PSG and they haven't said anything [about the Olympics," he added.
