Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has confirmed he will be at the club next season amidst speculation about his future.

Mbappe commented after he helped the French giants to a record 11th Ligue 1 title on the road at the weekend.

The 24-year-old provided the assisted that Lionel Messi latched on to score in the 1-1 draw at Strasbourg on Saturday.

Mbappe to remain at PSG

That result at Strasbourg was enough to see PSG defend their Ligue 1 with the capital club now four points clear with one game to go.

Mbappe was thereafter named the Ligue 1 Player of the season, becoming the only player to win the award four times in a row.

With his immediate future a subject of intense discussion in recent times, the French forward has now put that to bed.

According to a report from ESPN, Mbappe has confirmed he will remain at PSG next season.

"I want to thank the players, the staff, all the people working in the shadows," Mbappe stated.

"I've always wanted to leave a mark. I did not expect to win so much so early, but I'm happy to make history in my country."

On his future at Paris Saint-Germain, the former World Cup winner added; "I'm happy and I'll be here next season.”

Mbappe has a contract with PSG until 2024 with an option to extend it by a further year.
