Maria Guardiola: Pep Guardiola's daughter crowns Man City coach as 'the greatest'

Pep Guardiola’s daughter, Maria Guardiola, has reacted on social media after witnessing her father lead Manchester City to the second treble of his legendary career as a football manager.

Pep led Manchester City to their first Champions League in the club’s history, having endured several disappointments in previous editions.

Guardiola led his side to their first finals in 2021, before eventually losing out to Premier League rivals Chelsea in Porto.

The following year, the Spaniard once again suffered a heartbreak after they were stunned by Real Madrid on aggregate in the semi-finals despite going into the fixture with a 4-3 lead from the first-leg.

However, the Cityzens were not to be denied a third time as Pep Guardiola’s men exterted their revenge on Los Blancos in the semi-finals this year in a dominant 5-1 aggregate win against the competition’s all-time greatest club, to set up a final showdown against Italian giants Inter.

On Saturday night in Istanbul, the Cityzens recorded a hard-fought 1-0 victory against an Inter Milan side that nearly stung the Sky Blues if not for their lacklustre finishing.

Following the historic win in Istanbul this weekend, Guardiola celebrated yet another iconic achievement having already won the Premier League and the FA Cup this season.

The 52-year-old Spaniard celebrated with his family on the pitch at full-time, and his daughter, María Guardiola, also joined the party through her social networks, as she shared photos of her father on her Instagram page, captioning it with nothing but praises for the City gaffer.

Maria Guardiola, who has crossed the 600K follower mark on Instagram, took to her Instagram stories to first celebrate the victory with a "yes f**k" full of joy and affection, before she shared another image from 433 in which her father appears on a throne and with the treble he won while at FC Barcelona and recently at Manchester City.

Maria then captioned the post: "the absolute greatest".

Pep Guardiola is the first and only coach to have won a continental treble - the league, the cup and the Champions League with two teams.
