Manchester United set to battle Real Madrid for AC Milan
Manchester United have reportedly entered the fray for the signing of AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez as they are keen on landing a star wingback for Ruben Amorim's system.
The details
According to a report from FourFourTwo, the Red Devils have registered interest in the France international defender.
The 27-year-old stars for the Rossoneri and was a member of the squad that won the Scudetto three seasons ago.
According to Spanish publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Hernandez has had a falling out with Milan boss Paulo Fonseca, hence his reduced game time in recent weeks.
The Red Devils are believed to be attentive to the situation and want to recruit the former Real Madrid man to play left wing-back amid growing injury concerns with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
The Premier League giants will not have it all their way, however, and Theo's former club, Real Madrid, are also interested and are said to be keen on his signature, as Pulse Sports reported.
