According to the Daily Mail, the Ivory Coast international is expected to be sidelined for a considerable period, leaving manager Ruben Amorim with a selection crisis.

Diallo has been a key player for United this season since Ruben Amorim’s arrival, scoring five of his six Premier League goals under the Portuguese manager.

The forward’s absence will be a major blow for Amorim, who is already without a number of key players.

Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer have all suffered injuries in training this week and are doubts for Sunday's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur

Mainoo's injury is the most serious and he is expected to be out for more than two weeks, while Ugarte and Collyer are major doubts for the game.
