According to The Sun, via Sportal, Sporting CP, led by manager Ruben Amorim, who returned to training on Monday, has also given the two players an additional week off to recover from the tragic loss of their national teammate and league colleague.

The newspaper quotes a club source: "The United players have rallied around them. They've been offered an extended week of leave, as well as psychological support and counseling. Both played with Jota for ten years in the national team and won the Nations League together just a few weeks ago."
