Man City to meet Galatasaray for Osimhen's teammate as possible De Bruyne replacement

Manchester City have identified a Galatasaray's gem as an ideal target for the summer transfer window.

Manchester City have been linked with a move for Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara, as they are keen on replacing Kevin De Bruyne with another creative midfielder.

The 25-year-old Brazilian only recently joined the Cim-Bom last summer. They signed him for €18 million from Norwich, which effectively made him their record transfer.

Manchester City’s interest 

Following the announcement of Kevin De Bruyne’s imminent exit slated for the end of the season, last season's Premier League champions have been linked with a number of creative midfielders. 

The likes of Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz and Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White have been in contention, with the Cityzens said to admire the quality of both players. 

According to Foot Mercato, Sara’s name in now on the list, with Manchester City said to be weighing up a possible transfer for the creative midfielder who has eight assists for Galatasaray this season in 41 appearances.

Manchester City bolstered their Champions League aspirations with a late victory over Aston Villa on Tuesday, but the Cityzens are already planning to reinforce their squad this summer. 

The goalkeeping position is a key area targeted by manager Pep Guardiola, with Ederson expected to depart after a long and successful tenure at the club. Porto’s Diogo Costa is poised to replace the Brazilian star, with reports suggesting this could be the first signing of City's summer rebuild.
