Magogo to seek re-election for CAF exco seat in Ivory Coast
FUFA president Moses Magogo will seek re-election to the CAF executive committee for another term in Ivory Coast on July 13th.
The 45th CAF Ordinary General Assembly was originally scheduled to be held in Cotonou in Benin, but the host country passed on the opportunity with a month remaining.
CAF reportedly asked Kenya to host, but that was not possible, forcing the continental body to seek refuge in Ivory Coast.
“The 45th CAF Ordinary General Assembly will be held in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, on 13 July 2023,” CAF announced in a statement while requesting the media to apply for accreditation.
The confirmation has not been made official via the CAF channels but the organisation’s secretary general Veron Mosenga-Omba confirmed via his Twitter.
Today, I am excited to announce that the CAF EXCO has decided to award the 45th @CAF_Online General Assembly to Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. Thank you to FIF President, my brother Idriss Diallo, and the Ivorian Government @Gouvci for their cooperation. See you in Abidjan on 13 July!
