Arne Slot made two changes in the team as Federico Chiesa made his first Premier League start of the season for Liverpool.

The Italian came in for Dominik Szoboszlai, who is absent from the squad. Jeremie Frimpong came on the other change from Liverpool's win at Tottenham, with Conor Bradley on the bench.

Rob Edwards made four changes from the Wolves side that lost to Brentford last week, with Mateus Mane making his first Premier League start.

Liverpool were held down by Wolves for a long time before they got their first shot at the target. It took them until the 41st minute before they scored the first goal of the game.

In the second half, Wolves fought back to get a goal, which was scored by Santiago Bueno. Arne Slot’s team held on to their one goal lead until the final whistle to secure the win.
