Liverpool get Isak boost after reaching ₦134 billion agreement with Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich are set to get their man, as they have reportedly reached an agreement with Liverpool for the transfer of Luis Diaz.
The Bavarians have suffered some major disappointments this window, after missing out on the likes of Florian Wirtz and Nico Williams. However, their insistence on Diaz could be set to pay off.
Agreement reached
According to a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Bundesliga champions have sealed a club-to-club agreement for the transfer of the Colombia international.
Bayern switched lanes towards Diaz after Nico Williams rebuffed their approach to continue at Athletic Club, and despite Liverpool's ‘not for sale’ stance on the former Porto winger, Bayern pushed through.
Liverpool have rejected a previous bid from the six-time UCL winners but, according to Fabrizio, have accepted a bid worth around €75 million. Diaz is expected to now travel for medical and sign a four-year deal with the German champions.
The ripple effect
Despite having spent over €200 million this summer on the likes of Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Hugo Ekitike and Milos Kerkez, Liverpool are plotting a €120 million move for Newcastle's Alexander Isak.
According to reports, the windfall from the Diaz sale would help fund this ambition. They are also in conversations for Rodrygo from Real Madrid, a more direct replacement for the outgoing Diaz.
