Lille vs Dinamo Zagreb prediction, team news and head-to-head

This crunch UEFA Europa League clash offers plenty of excitement as both Lille and Dinamo Zagreb meet here looking to bounce back from recent defeats in the competition. 

Two teams chasing a place in the Europa League’s top eight square off as Lille (19th, 6 points) host Dinamo Zagreb (12th, 7 points) at Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Lille had a strong start but now risks three successive European defeats for the first time since 2019-20.

However, Bruno Genesio’s men are coming off a positive 4-2 Ligue 1 win and have won their last three home games by an 11-3 margin.

Zagreb, who sit just one point out of the top-eight, have relied on late goals, scoring four of their seven goals in the second half.

They also come into this midweek action in a positive spell, having emphatically won each of their past two domestic matches by a combined 10-1 scoreline. 

This is the first-ever competitive meeting between Lille and Dinamo Zagreb. Historically, Les Nordistes have an excellent record against Croatian clubs, remaining unbeaten in four previous games and boasting a 100% home win record (W2, D2 overall).

Zagreb are seeking just their second-ever victory on French soil in a European competition.

Lille could welcome Alexsandro back from a leg injury, but Ousmane Toure (cruciate ligament) and Marc-Aurele Caillard (elbow) remain sidelined. Osame Sahraoui was forced off this past weekend and could be a doubt here,
