Levante vs Valencia: Umar Sadiq scores as Los Che leave relegation zone

Umar Sadiq scored as Valencia earned an important derby victory over Levante at the Ciutat de València, with goals from Largie Ramazani and the Super Eagles star securing a 2–0 win that lifts them away from the relegation zone, after Rayo Vallecano's victory against Atletico Madrid pushed them into it.

The first half was tight and competitive, with both sides probing for openings but failing to create major opportunities. Levante pressed positively at times, but Valencia kept their chances at a minimum, as the score remained goalless at the interval.

The second-half was also a cagey affair until the breakthrough came after the hour mark. In the 64th minute, Largie Ramazani produced an exceptional improvised volley finish after good hold-up play from Sadiq to make it 1–0 for Valencia.

Levante pressed for an equaliser which created more space for their cross-town rivals to exploit.  Los Che doubled their advantage in the 84th minute when Umar Sadiq latched onto a through pass, held off his marker expertly, and drilled a finish from just outside the box to make it 2–0. 

That goal effectively sealed the victory for the visitors, giving them breathing room. Levante pushed for a way back in the closing stages, but their efforts were largely kept at bay by Valencia’s back line and goalkeeper, with the visitors managing the game efficiently to prevent any late comeback.
