He was unable to begin the project for two years due to legal complications, but it finally began this week.
Prior to being purchased by billionaire Howard Hughes, the house was first constructed in the 1930s and belonged to renowned actor Charles Boyer.
The Young and the Restless creators, Lee Phillip Bell and William Brent Bell, purchased it for $2.9 million in 1986 after Hughes leased it to Hepburn.
The Daily Mail has images of both the original house and the 250-acre site.
The original house contained no fewer than seven fireplaces, a fully lit tennis court, numerous outdoor dining areas, and an interior theater.
LeBron obviously has bigger plans for the home, as evidenced by the photos that show the renovation in progress.
LeBron James, one of the best players of all time, didn't have a successful season.
James became the all-time leading scorer in the NBA but was unable to lead the Lakers to the Finals.
A sweep is a sweep, even though the Lakers' defeat to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals was closer than the 4-0 series loss.
