Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo appears to have a new romantic interest.

However, Pulse Sports can confirm the identity of Mainoo’s girlfriend is Layla Roye, a 22-year-old student from Manchester.

Details of their potential relationship first surfaced last year, though her identity remained a mystery at the time.

Now, Mainoo’s mystery girlfriend has been identified after social media clues pointed to Layla.

The pretty girlfriend of the Red Devils star attended Urmston Grammar School and is currently studying at the University of Salford International since 2023.

Little else is known about her personal life or the exact timeline of any romance with the 20-year-old midfielder, who has kept his private affairs firmly under wraps.

Mainoo has never publicly commented on his dating life, and the pair are yet to confirm anything officially.

The speculation has intensified after recent Instagram posts showing the duo in strikingly similar locations during what appears to be a mini-vacation in Dubai.

Premier League stars including Cole Palmer, João Pedro, Marc Cucurella and Antoine Semenyo all flocked to the UAE to unwind during the brief mid-season window, ahead of the decisive second half of the campaign.

Layla, who has just over 560 followers on Instagram, shared elegant snaps from The Lana, an ultra-luxury Dorchester Collection hotel in Business Bay.

One standout image shows her in a form-fitting taupe dress standing on a dramatic terrace overlooking the Dubai Water Canal, with the glittering city skyline and yachts below bathed in evening lights. She holds her phone up to capture the view, framed by opulent beige curtains and marble finishes.

In a separate post, Mainoo was pictured standing pensively in a similar high-end interior; a vast, modern space with floor-to-ceiling beige curtains, panoramic night-time views of the Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai skyline sparkling in the background.

Dressed casually in a beige bomber jacket, black trousers and trainers, with glasses on, the young star stands on a glass balcony ledge overlooking the same luxurious setting.

The identical interior have convinced many that the pair were staying at the same exclusive spot.

Layla often shares stylish, monochrome snippets of her life on her low-key account, while Mainoo’s feed remains focused on football and family.

Yet the consistent overlap in recent months, particularly these Dubai terrace views, suggests the two are in fact, dating.

For now, neither has addressed the growing buzz. Mainoo continues to focus on United’s top four goals this season, having established himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting young talents.

Mainoo has experienced a significant resurgence in the first team under interim manager Michael Carrick, having previously been sidelined during Ruben Amorim’s tenure. 

Mainoo has started every match, helping the team to a five-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Mainoo is expected to return to action for the Red Devils when they play hosts to Everton on Monday night, February 23, in the Premier League.
