In his absence, assistants Khali Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze, along with goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi, have been overseeing the team on a temporary basis.

Isaacs, who spent several years at Chiefs during his playing career, believes that while the team has shown signs of progress, the lack of clarity from the management could derail the momentum that had been building under Nabi.

"There has been significant improvement at Kaizer Chiefs compared to the past two years; you can see the progress," Isaacs said in an interview with KickOff.

"If Chiefs had won on Sunday, no one would be complaining. It's not normal for any club to have uncertainty regarding the head coach position."

Call for Stability and Cultural Balance

Isaacs emphasized that the situation needs to be resolved swiftly to prevent further disruption within the squad.

According to him, Chiefs must restore stability by clearly defining who leads the team from the bench.

"The sooner they reach a decision and clarify this confusion, the better it will be for the club," he said.

"My primary concern is that we don’t have anyone on the bench who understands the culture of Kaizer Chiefs."

He also raised concerns about the current composition of the technical team, highlighting the absence of a South African presence alongside the foreign coaches.

"It's unusual for Kaizer Chiefs not to have a South African or one of the club's legends working alongside the technical team and learning from the head coach. They have always done that in the past," Isaacs explained.

The former defender’s remarks echo sentiments shared by many within the club’s supporter base, who have long called for a balance between international expertise and local football identity.

Chiefs have traditionally blended foreign coaching philosophies with the input of local legends who understand the club’s deep-rooted traditions.

Uncertainty Around Nabi’s Future

Nabi’s situation remains a mystery, with the Tunisian mentor having been absent from the dugout in recent fixtures.

Under his leadership, Chiefs appeared to be finding rhythm, showing improved structure and tactical discipline despite mixed results.

"I was surprised when I heard about Nabi being sidelined because I thought he was doing well and that the team was improving under his leadership," Isaacs said.

"Players take time to adapt to a new coach, and once they do, things start to flow. Chiefs need to address the situation with Nabi, as the two current assistants have very different backgrounds—one came as an assistant coach, while the other was a translator."
