Kalidou Koulibaly has endured a disappointing first season at Chelsea to the point where fans want him out of the club on the back of a series of defensive errors at the back.
Less than a year after his £33m move to the Premier League from Serie A side Napoli, the Senegalese defender could be back in Italy.
Juventus plotting move for Chelsea's Koulibaly
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have already made initial attempts to sign the 31-year-old centre-back, after missing out on him last summer as Chelsea ultimately won the race for the former Napoli star.
With Chelsea now set to miss out on European football next season, the prospect of a return to Italy with Juventus could be one Koulibaly struggles to turn down, with his situation at Chelsea unlikely to change.
Big picture for Koulibaly
Koulibaly said in a recent interview that he intends to fight for his Chelsea career but it is very unlikely that he will get anywhere near his desired game-time next season with the opportunity for minutes greatly reduced by the lack of European football next season.
The Banconeri are now firmly in the running for a UEFA Champions League spot for next season having seen their 15-point deduction reversed earlier this week.
