Despite the win, the defending champs were far from their dominant best, facing early setbacks that included a key defensive ejection and an offense that sputtered late.

The win was a testament to quarterback Jalen Hurts, who repeatedly found ways to make plays when they broke down. He finished the night with 152 yards passing and led the team with 62 rushing yards on 14 carries, scoring two crucial touchdowns on the ground.

His ability to improvise and escape the Cowboys' defense was the decisive factor. After the game, Hurts put the team's performance in perspective.

"Just finding ways to win, that's what it comes down to," he said. "It doesn't matter how it looks, it doesn't matter how it goes, it's just about finding ways to win."

While the Eagles proved they can win even when not at their peak, there is plenty to improve.

As head coach Nick Sirianni noted, "I'm thankful that you can correct off of a win, because there's a lot to correct." The Eagles will be looking to do just that as they begin their journey to defend their title.
