Joe Aribo: Super Eagles star celebrates Premier League return with Southampton

There is news about Super Eagles of Nigeria star Joseph Oluwaseyi Ayodele-Aribo.

The 27-year-old Aribo has reason to celebrate with his side Southampton.

Aribo has taken to social media to celebrate Southampton's return to the Premier League.

Adam Armstrong's goal in the first half earned Southampton a valuable 1-0 victory at Wembley and an immediate return to the Premier League for his team.

Armstrong had scored goals in both of the Saints' previous Championship matchups against their fellow play-off finalists.

At Wembley, history was repeated when Armstrong scored his 24th goal of the season, finding the bottom corner halfway through the first half. It was sufficient to propel Russell Martin's squad back into the first division.

Leeds, who had a late chance to advance through the play-offs when replacement Dan James struck the crossbar, now face further agony as this is their sixth straight failure to do so.

Leeds and Southampton arrived at a boisterous but soggy Wembley unaltered following their thrilling second-leg wins over Norwich and West Brom, respectively, last week.

Next season Southampton will play in the Premier League alongside Ipswich and Leicester.

Aribo took to social media to post photos of the celebration.

Along with the photos was a message that said, "Back like we never left!"

Aribo featured for 90 minutes and will have a chance to continue his journey in England.
