The Premier League transfer window has just closed, and as usual, the window came with repercussions for FPL.
The new Premier League signings would create new dynamics for FPL in the second half of the season. With the margins in FPL so tight this season, you do not want to be late to the party for any point opportunity, and here are some new signings that could be set for a points haul from the outset.
Mykhailo Mudryk
Chelsea have had their issues offensively, but the new signings suggest a new dawn for Chelsea in terms of attacking output.
Mudryk is the star signing in offence for Chelsea, and if the game against Liverpool is anything to go by, Mudryk could become a Premier League revelation, and consequently an FPL revelation.
At a value of 7.0, Mudryk could provide premium player points in the mid-price range.
Paul Onuachu
The big Nigerian striker is joining the Premier League after scoring 85 goals in 134 games for Genk in the Belgian Pro League.
Southampton completes an average of 4.4 crosses per game, and Onuachu coming in as the joint-tallest player in the Premier League could form a deadly combination with James Ward-Prowse.
Wout Werghorst
Weghorst is another big striker who joined the Premier League in the January transfer window and could be an excellent FPL acquisition.
With Anthony Martial's fitness wound around uncertainties, Werghorst could be a regular feature in the Manchester United starting lineup.
Valued at only 6.0 million, Werghorst is a striker on a top-four team priced below 7 million, making him a good third-striker option.
Cody Gakpo
Gakpo has not hit the ground running immediately, however, Liverpool's form could be set to turn around with a good run of fixtures coming up for the reds.
Priced at a fairly reasonable 7.8 million, Gakpo is a moderately priced entry into Liverpool’s midfield.
Pedro Porro
Tottenham's new signing Pedro Porro is someone you definitely want to keep an eye out for, FPL-wise.
The wing-back had eight goal contributions at Sporting Lisbon before moving to Spurs, and he is coming into a system that empowers wing-backs.
He is expected to be the starting wing-back for Tottenham and is valued at only 5.0 million.
