'It's good to dream' — Super Eagles defender Ola Aina eyes Champions League with Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest have been flying this season and find themselves in the top four after about half of the campaign has been played already.
As it stands, the Tricky Trees are in a Champions League spot, and star defender Ola Aina dares to dream, stating that they expect good things to come their way at the end of the season.
What Aina said
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side got their ninth win of the season against Brentford yesterday, and Ola Aina was among the goals.
Following the match, the Nigerian defender spoke with journalists, who asked him about Forest's ambitions this season and if they could end the campaign in a Champions League slot.
Forest are currently 4th after 17 matches, but Aina said they were not letting it get to their heads and are taking it a game at a time. However, he refused to dismiss the ambitious question about the possibility of qualifying for the Champions League.
“You don’t know, but it’s really good work what we’re doing. We are just focusing on ourselves and taking it game by game,” Aina said, per the BBC.
“But it is good to dream a little bit. As long as we work hard and just keep our heads and not get too carried away, I’m sure things will be fantastic come May.”
