‘It’s careless from Bernardo Silva’ - Ex-Chelsea star slams Man City midfielder for Chukwueze’s goal
On Tuesday night, Fulham suffered a 5-4 defeat at the hands of Man City at Craven Cottage in the EPL.
Nigerian international, Chukwueze, scored a brace after coming on as a substitute to kick-start a possible comeback.
However, they failed to find the fifth goal to secure a draw, leaving City with the win and closing the gap on Arsenal.
Sutton slams Bernardo
Sutton pinpointed the mistake from the Manchester City player that gifted the chance to the Fulham forward.
"Fulham have been passing with real purpose in this second half," Sutton commented, as reported by the BBC. "It’s careless from Bernardo Silva. The ball just sits up, it’s waiting to be hit – and boy, does [Samuel Chukwueze] hit it!"
The goal marks a significant turnaround for Chukwueze, who has found a new lease on life at Fulham following a challenging period at AC Milan.
The Super Eagles star has now been directly involved in four goals in his last three league appearances.
His impressive form has also earned him a place in Eric Chelle's 54-man provisional squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
