The legend tipped Morocco to defeat Nigeria in their highly anticipated Africa Cup of Nations semifinal clash on Wednesday night at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

The matchup pits the competition's most potent attack that has scored 14 goals against the stingiest defence that has conceded only a single goal in five matches.

While acknowledging the teams are evenly matched, the former striker believes the Atlas Lions hold a slight edge due to their home advantage.

Bartlett emphasised the crucial role of the Moroccan supporters, suggesting the "12th man" could be the deciding factor in what is expected to be a close contest.

Speaking on SuperSport, Bartlett explained his reasoning: "Morocco hosts, 12th man, which is the fans behind them, against the superpower Nigeria.

“Redemption for AFCON for Nigeria? I know but I am going to go with the host, and it is not going to be like a big score. It will be a one-goal margin."

He added, "The 12th man will make a difference. My heart is saying Nigeria, my head is saying Morocco."

Historically, the Super Eagles and the Atlas Lions have faced each other five times in the Africa Cup of Nations, with Nigeria winning twice and Morocco claiming victory on three occasions.

Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen has dismissed suggestions that the host nation's home advantage will rattle Nigeria ahead of tonight’s AFCON semifinal against Morocco.
