It was a big honour to play with him — Chelsea star praises Cristiano Ronaldo
Not many footballers can say they had the opportunity to play with Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo
The 5-time Ballon d'Or winner is in a never-ending debate with Lionel Messi for the greatest footballer of all time, and there are many who believe he deserves the crown.
One player who has very high praise for the 40-year-old Portuguese is Jadon Sancho.
Sancho and Ronaldo played together at Manchester United from 2021 to the end of 2022, and the Chelsea winger has now hailed the impact CR7 had on him.
The former Borussia Dortmund star was asked to list some of his best team-mates, and was quick to mention the Al-Nassr ace.
Sancho told Sky Sports:
"I've played with a lot of great players but, if I had to choose one, it was Cristiano Ronaldo.
"What he talks about in his interviews is all true, to play with him was a real honour. His mentality, how he trained and how he went into games was really inspirational."
While Sancho is unlikely to hit Ronaldo's heights, he can conitnue to impove at Chelsea, and earn a spot in England's 2026 World Cup squad.
