It is always complicated - Amorim makes honest admission after Chelsea win
Ruben Amorim has admitted that his side is "complicated" despite securing a crucial 2-1 victory over rivals Chelsea at Old Trafford on Saturday.
United had raced into a 2-0 lead with goals from Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro before halftime.
However, the team's tendency to make things difficult for themselves was a clear point of frustration for Amorim after the game.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Amorim said: “We scored two goals, and then we tried to complicate our game again. It’s always complicated with us. It should have been different this game.”
Amorim went on to deliver a clear message to his players about what is expected from them at Old Trafford. He believes the fans are easy to please, provided the players show enough effort.
“Our crowd, our fans, are easy to please. If you give everything, they will be there. That is something our players need to understand," he explained.
Amorim concluded by emphasizing the simple demands of the Old Trafford faithful. "To have the crowd with us, we just need to run, to fight, and tackle.”
