Inter Miami plot sensational move to pair Messi with Kevin De Bruyne

Inter Miami have reportedly made Kevin de Bruyne their chief target for the next MLS transfer window as they seek to improve on this season's disappointing MLS Cup outing. 

The Herons, powered by a union of former Barcelona players, chiefly Messi, won the Supporters Shield. However, they lost out on the biggest prize after they crashed out of the MLS Cup in a first-round defeat to Atlanta United. 

The Miami-based side will reportedly continue their ambitious approach of collecting superstars in their twilight and have now set their sights on City's ace, De Bruyne. 

The Belgium international’s future is up in the air, as his contract expires at the end of the summer. With renewal talks not gaining ground, suitors are weighing up a possible move. 

According to the Mirror, Inter Miami are licking their lips at the prospect of adding the former Wolfsburg man to their already star-studded ranks and have even made him their top target. 

However, they will face competition from Saudi big-money clubs—they made a failed move last summer—and fellow MLS side, a City Group club, New York City.
