In-form Barcelona star reject national team call-up

Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny has reportedly turned down an international call-up from Poland, opting to focus on his club career instead.

According to Marca, Poland national team coach Michal Probierz reached out to Szczęsny, but the 34-year-old declined the offer.

Szczęsny had previously announced his retirement from international football but was given the opportunity to reconsider.

However, with his career resurgence at Barcelona, the goalkeeper has chosen to prioritize his club commitments.

As Marca reports, "He's focused on Barcelona, a club that wants to extend his contract for another season."

This decision comes as no surprise, given Szczęsny's impressive form since joining Barcelona.

He has racked up 15 appearances across all competitions, remaining unbeaten in the process.
