Rio Ferdinand has voiced his concern over Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko, stating the young forward is not being given enough opportunities to score.
Ferdinand's comments came after he watched the Red Devils’ performance in their recent 3-0 Premier League derby loss to Manchester City.
The defeat, which highlighted United's attacking struggles, prompted the former defender to speak out about the lack of service to the new signing.
“The one I am worried about is Sesko,” the 46-year-old said on Rio Ferdinand Presents.
“He ain’t getting no chances, he ain’t getting no opportunities, there is nothing created for him."
Ferdinand emphasized that this is a critical issue that needs immediate attention.
"That is the concern. A new striker comes in the football club, gets in the team, you’ve got to think about creating chances for him. That is something I think has got to be looked at, and fixed quickly.”
Sesko, 22, joined United from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig during the summer transfer window, and has been hugely underwhelming in his 4 appearances so far.
