‘I’m seeing different offers’ - European clubs scramble for Remo Stars goal machine
The hottest striker in the Nigerian Women Football League (NWFL) Bolaji Olamide has revealed that many European clubs have been jostling for her signature.
Bolaji Olamide told Pulse Sports Nigeria during an exclusive interview that although many offers are on her table, she is biding her time and doesn’t want to rush anything.
The 21-year-old also added that she’s also counting on God, and leaving everything in his hands so as to make the right choice.
“Well, I’m leaving everything to God. There are so many offers (good and bad) just like the way life is – life is about good and bad but it’s just a step at a time,” Bolaji told Pulse Sports Nigeria.
The Remo Stars Ladies goals machine who has been chosen by veteran striker Desire Oparanozie to take her place in the Super Falcons added that she’s not in a haste to make any decision at the moment.
“I don’t want to rush into anything. I’m seeing different offers but I’m hoping for the best.”
Bolaji Olamide makes NWFL history
For over a decade in the NWFL, only one player has scored more goals in a season than Bolaji Olamide — Pelican Stars’ Amarachi Orjinma who found the back of the net an impressive 17 times in 2014.
However, Bolaji Olamide’s tally of 15 goals in the 2024/25 seasons is the highest return any player has had since 2013. In the first seven games, she went on a scoring spree, finding the back of the net against every opposition.

Bolaji’s record eclipse that of six-time African Women's Footballer of the Year Asisat Oshoala who topped the chart in 2013 with six goals. Bayelsa Queens’ Rofiat Sule recorded 11 goals in 2015, while Super Falcons star Gift Monday notched 10 goals twice (20/21 and 21/22).
At just 21, Bolaji has already featured for the Super Falcons of Nigeria, making her debut against Algeria last year and getting some minutes during the 2-0 victory over Cameroon in Abeokuta.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria are on a mission X — to deliver a 10th WAFCON title for the nation and Bolaji says she would be elated to be selected to represent the nation.
“To be part of that team, will be a great honour. I’ll be so grateful to God if I’m being called upon in that upcoming list. I won’t just be going there to eat or watch, I’m going there to prove myself why I’m currently the highest goalscorer in the NWFL.
“That’s a lot of work but with the likes of Rasheedat Ajibade and the other more experienced players in the squad, I’m sure fitting in would not be an issue. I’ll be so excited if I make the list and I’ll give my all”
The 2025 edition of the WAFCON kicks off from 5th - 26th July and the Super Falcons of Nigeria have been drawn in Group B alongside Tunisia, Algeria, and Botswana.
