Coming on as a substitute in the 35th minute for the injured Giovane Nascimento, Orban made an immediate impact.

Just seven minutes after entering the match, the Super Eagles invitee finished off a swift counter-attack to give Verona a crucial halftime lead.

He also went on to deliver a final twist deep into stoppage time after beating David de Gea at his near post to seal Verona's second league win of the season.

Orban currently leads all Nigerian goalscorers in Serie A this season, having netted four times in 12 appearances.

This places him ahead of Ademola Lookman, who has scored two goals in 11 games, while other Nigerian players like Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Honest Ahanor are yet to register a goal.

Verona's next challenge is a formidable trip to the San Siro to face AC Milan on Sunday, December 28.
