‘I'm not an old-school manager’ - Chelsea manager satisfied with the Blues' recruitment structure
The club's approach is a significant departure from the traditional model, where managers were heavily involved in buying and selling players.
Chelsea employs a five-person sporting director team, co-led by Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, comprising Joe Shields, Sam Jewell, and Dave Fallows.
Rosenior remains well-informed on all transfer activity, including the ongoing pursuit of Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet.
Rosenior speaks on club transfer policy
Speaking ahead of the Premier League clash with West Ham, Rosenior explained how the club's structure allows him to maintain his focus on the team.
"That's the beauty of being a head coach within a structure: I'm not an old-school manager that's got out the phone and is making calls," he said.
"I've got the best people, I think, in world football working on those things. I probably see the last two per cent of the work they do, which allows me to focus on what I need to focus on: the team and the performance."
When asked if he preferred this system, having experienced a similar setup at Strasbourg, Rosenior was unequivocal. "One hundred per cent. I don't want to be sat in an office all day. I want to be on the training pitch."
Rosenior stated that he is "100 per cent" relieved not to be bogged down by transfer negotiations. The Blues boss believes he has the "best recruiters in world football" handling player acquisitions on his behalf.
