He is untouchable — Chelsea boss Rosenior sends 'hands off' warning to Man Utd
Liam Rosenior has issued a blunt "hands-off" warning to Manchester United, declaring Chelsea star Cole Palmer as "untouchable" following shock reports linking the forward with a move to Old Trafford.
However, speaking ahead of Chelsea’s dramatic 3–2 Champions League win over Napoli, Rosenior was quick to shut down the narrative.
When asked by reporters on Tuesday, January 27, if Palmer was both happy and "untouchable" at Stamford Bridge, Rosenior replied with a firm: "Yes, and yes."
"It’s so unrealistic. It’s come from nowhere," Rosenior added. "Cole is very happy. I’ve had numerous conversations with him. He loves being here and he wants to be a Chelsea player. There’s no point in having a discussion about it."
The 23-year-old remains under a long-term contract at Chelsea until 2033, and the club has no intention of entertaining bids for their most influential attacker.
Since joining from Manchester City three years ago, Palmer has recorded a staggering 41 goals and 20 assists in 81 appearances, establishing himself as the face of the BlueCo era.
While Palmer has navigated a frustrating month with minor thigh and toe injuries, he returned to the squad for the midweek trip to Italy, where Chelsea secured their spot in the Champions League Round of 16.
Looking Ahead: The London Derby Liam Rosenior’s attention now shifts to Saturday's clash against West Ham, where he aims to extend his near-perfect start as Chelsea boss.
