Ifeoma Onumonu: Super Falcons star gets flowers on Gotham return
Super Falcons of Nigeria star Ifeoma Chukwufumnaya Onumonu is back on the social media trends.
The 29-year-old Onumonu is back for New York/New Jersey's NWSL outfit Gotham FC.

Onumonu returns to Gotham FC after her exploits for the Super of Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Onumonu featured in all four games the Super Falcons played at the World Cup.
Onumonu started the Super Falcons group games against Olympic Champions Canada and tournament co-hosts Australia.
She was a substitute for the game against the Republic of Ireland but returned to the starting line up in the round of 16 clash against the Lionesses of England.
Onumonu did not score a goal as the Super Falcons lost on penalties to finalists, England.
Onumonu returns to Gotham FC
Onumonu was not part of the Super Falcons team that returned to Nigeria after the World Cup.
She instead returned to the United States of America (USA) to join up with Gotham.
Onumonu came off the bench for Gotham FC as they suffered a 2-1 loss away against the San Diego Wave on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
In an NWSL fixture, Onumonu started the game against the San Diego Wave on the bench.
Onumonu was introduced for Delanie Sheehan in the 90th minute as Gotham FC were down two goals.
Onumonu provided the assist for Katherine Stengel in the 12th minute of additional time.

Onumonu played her first home game against Uchenna Kanu's Racing Louisville early on Monday, August 28, 2023.
Onumonu was given flowers along with the Gotham stars who participated in the World Cup.
She then was given a starting role for Gotham and received a yellow card in the 21st minute.
Onumonu in the 57th minute was taken off for Lynn Williams.
Onumonu's Super Falcons teammate Uchenna Kanu was introduced by Racing Louisville for Paige Monaghan.
The game ended in a draw but Onumonu's fourth-placed Gotham returned to action against North Carolina Courage on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
