'If they get 7 points' — Paul Merson reveals key to winning Premier League title

Former Arsenal star turned TV pundit Paul Merson has made a bold claim regarding the destination of this year's Premier League title.

Merson has revealed the pathway for Arne Slot's Liverpool to be victorious at the end of the season.

Liverpool currently top the Premier League table with 53 points from 22 games, holding a game in hand over their closest rivals Arsenal.

Speaking to Sportskeeda ahead of Liverpool's away tie with Bournemouth, Merson emphasized the importance of the next few fixtures:

"February will be a defining month in the Premier League for Liverpool. In addition to their upcoming trip to Bournemouth, they face both Everton and Manchester City away from home this month."

"If Liverpool get seven points from these three fixtures, they will win the Premier League."

However, Merson also acknowledged the challenges that Liverpool will face in these matches:

"But then again, you look at these fixtures and think, 'Bournemouth are bang in form, Everton are a different beast under Moyes and well, Manchester City can beat anyone on their day'."
