In a significant move, Super Eagles vice-captain William Troost-Ekong has unveiled his ambitious plans for the newly established "Troost-Ekong Foundation," aimed at empowering Nigerian and African youth through football and education.

Vision for Empowerment:

Troost-Ekong, the Super Eagles captain at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, emphasised his commitment to creating opportunities for young people.

Speaking with Soccernet, he expressed, "The biggest thing for me is to create opportunity. I really want to make a mark."

Building a Legacy:

Sharing his long-term vision, Troost-Ekong revealed his aspiration to establish a sports academy to empower youths. He elaborated on his plans, stating, "I plan to eventually open up my own school and sports facilities."

For Troost-Ekong, this initiative is a way of expressing gratitude to his home state of Akwa Ibom and giving back to the community that supported him.

Meanwhile, as earlier reported, Troost-Ekong decided to redirect his future earnings from the Super Eagles towards developing football in Akwa Ibom State.
