During Thursday night's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham, Van Dijk once again demonstrated his value to Liverpool by heading in the team's final goal to seal a 4-1 aggregate triumph.
The 33-year-old Dutchman is free to sign a pre-contract deal with any club as one of three Liverpool players whose contracts expire in the summer.
Speculation over the Liverpool skipper's future continues, with Liverpool currently challenging for the title.
Van Dijk speaks on future
Speaking after helping the Reds seal a clash with Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final, Van Dijk addressed the uncertainty.
According to Daily Mail, he said, “I am feeling good, what the future brings I have no idea. Anyone who says they know, they are absolutely wrong.”
Under Arne Slot's leadership, Van Dijk has found his best form this season, with solid performances for Liverpool.
His team is leading the Premier League, finished first in the Champions League standings and has advanced to one domestic final.
He will be looking to help the Reds advance to the next round when they face Plymouth in the FA Cup's fourth round on Sunday.
