'How the mighty have fallen' - Fans brutally troll Juventus on social media following shock Serie A loss
Juventus were handed another blow in their bid to secure qualification for the UEFA Champions League next season.
It was truly an evening to forget at the Allianz Stadium with fans leaving the stadium before the full time whistle was blown.
Monza opened the scoring after 18 minutes when Jose Machin sent a well-timed through ball to Patrick Ciurria who blasted high into the net to give the visitors a 1-0 lead, having been denied earlier in the 12th minute when VAR ruled out Gianluca Caprari's strike.
Juventus responded well but struggled to be clinical as they soon found themselves trailing once more after Dany Mota doubled Monza's lead six minutes before half-time when he got the ball inside the box.
The 24-year-old Portuguese rounded Wojciech Szczesny and slotted into the empty net in what was a chaotic finish to the opening period.
Second Half
Juventus dominated the second half but were repeatedly denied by Monza keeper Michele Di Gregorio who was brilliant for the majority of the encounter with a magnificent save against Manuel Locatelli’s shot, the biggest highlight of his evening.
The only positive for the hosts was the return of France international Paul Pogba.
Although the midfielder didn't get on the pitch, he was named in a matchday squad for the first time since Manchester United's 4-0 defeat at Liverpool almost 10 months ago.

In the end, the hosts just had no answer for the hosts as it finished 2-0 in favour of Monza at the Allianz Stadium with Juventus losing at home for the first time since April 2022.
The result leaves Juventus languishing in 13th in the Serie A table with 23 points, just two places behind their opponents on Sunday.
Massimiliano Allegri's side have not been able to recover momentum after being docked 15 points this month following an investigation into the club's transfer dealings.
Juventus had won eight league games on the bounce either side of the World Cup to get themselves back into contention for a top four finish and perhaps even a late title push.
However, the latest scandal which involved the deduction, coupled with a three-game winless run, leaves them 15 points behind defending champions AC Milan in the last Champions League qualification spot.
