Boniface and his club, Union Saint-Gilloise collapsed in remarkable fashion against Raphael Onyedika’s Club Brugge as former Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld inspired Royal Antwerp to the league title.

Union SG dominated Brugge at home and took to lead after Boniface assisted Ivory Coast star Simon Adingra to put them 1-0 ahead.

What heartbreak looks like, Victor Boniface is broken.

Union SG led until a bizarre capitulation in added time as Brugge netted three goals for a 3-1 victory.

At the Cegeka Arena, it was Alhassan and Antwerp who had the last laugh after coming behind twice to snatch a vital share of the spoils against Genk.

Toluwalase Arokodare had Genk dreaming, but his beautiful goal was not enough in the end.

Arokodare put Genk in front before Antwerp equalised. Genk’s lead was restored with 15 minutes to play as they look poised for the title.

However, Alderweireld scored a ridiculous screamer in added time to give 10-man Antwerp the point that sealed the title.

Alhassan Yusuf and his Royal Antwerp teammates will party all night.
