Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, is currently mourning the loss of his father.
The tragic news happened on Friday morning after he was in goal for the Super Eagles against the Benin Republic on Thursday in the AFCON qualifiers in Abidjan.
Recall that Nigerians visited Nwabali's Father's house on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, after the goalkeeper's heroics during the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-final clash against South Africa.

Nigeria won after a penalty shootout against South Africa where Nwabali displayed an impressive performance.
Nwabali mourns Father
The goalkeeper shared on social media that his father had passed away, expressing his inability to cope.
"I cant help i wish you know what you have done, Good bye Dad. RIP Dad," he mourned

Nwabali was one of the standout players for Nigeria in Ivory Coast during the AFCON 2023 tournament. He kept four clean sheets in seven games, helping solidify his reputation as a reliable goalkeeper for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The former Wikki Tourist player showed exceptional composure in ball handling, marking it as one of his standout traits. In high-pressure situations, the Chippa star calmed and assured presence in possession, contributing to the stability of the Super Eagles defense at the AFCON.
