Terry, one of Chelsea's most decorated players with 717 appearances and 15 major trophies including five Premier League titles and the 2012 Champions League, happily confirmed the exclusive treat.

"Yeah he let me and Lamps [Frank Lampard] take the yacht on holiday but it was only one time," Terry confirmed.

The ex-defender then praised the former owner's impact on the club’s success, which was built on the foundation of stalwarts like Terry, Mikel, Lampard, Didier Drogba, and Petr Čech.

He pointed to the immediate investment in infrastructure:

"When he walked into Harlington [Chelsea's old training ground] he said no we are not training here and then he bought Cobham and turned it into what it is today.

"He really did everything possible to give us the best platform to succeed, and was invested in the players and fans as well.
