He must play for England: Ethan Nwaneri advised to snub Super Eagles after UCL masterclass

Ethan Nwaneri has continued to receive rave reviews after his outstanding performance in Arsenal's 7-1 demolition of PSV in the UEFA Champions League last-16.

The teenager was arguably the best player on the pitch and former Chelsea playmaker Joe Cole believes he must be in consideration for Thomas Tuchel's England squad.

Nwaneri was born to a Nigerian father and English mother making him eligible to represent both countries.

Despite playing for the England youth teams, he is yet to represent the senior team and remains eligible to play for Nigeria.

However, Cole believes Nwaneri is ready to star for England.

“For me, he is so good that he doesn’t need the U21s,” Cole told TNT Sports.

“He needs to go straight in with Thomas Tuchel, get around the England squad and get some minutes, because he is an England player for the next 10-15 years.

“I think he is going to be an absolute genius. I think he is the most exciting footballer in England and maybe Europe. What he is doing is incredible,”
