He knows — Director confident Harry Kane will reject Barcelona for Bayern stay
Bayern Munich’s sporting director Max Eberl has reiterated their desire to keep Harry Kane at the club, despite interest from top European clubs, stating that the England international knew what he wanted.
Harry Kane's contract situation
Although the 33-year-old has a contract with Bayern Munich until 2027, he is rumoured to have a €65 million release clause in his contract.
This has triggered transfer speculations to the Premier League and LALIGA, where Barcelona are said to be keen on landing the 2018 World Cup top scorer.
As Pulse Sports reported, Barcelona have made the former Tottenham Hotspur star their leading striker transfer target for the summer.
What Eberl said
However, Bayern Munich are keen on keeping Kane and are reportedly working on a renewal. Sporting director Max Eberl has not shied away from discussing their intent, and he reiterated it in a recent interview.
“Harry knows exactly what he wants and we have plans for him. We would like to continue. We can very, very well imagine that, but we will basically discuss everything with Harry,” he said, per Sky Germany.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane has played down talks about an exit from Bayern, explaining that he was happy in Bavaria and that he does not see his future changing soon.
