'He is just walking, jogging' — Schmeichel blames one player for Man Utd draw against Brentford
In a thrilling Premier League encounter at the Gtech Community Stadium, forgotten man Mason Mount scored in added time to give the Red Devils an undeserved advantage.
However, just when victory appeared to be within their grasp, Brentford defender Kristoffer Ajer had other plans.
With a dramatic strike in the 99th minute, Ajer stunned the visitors and earned the Bees a well-deserved point.
Schmeichel blasts Wan-Bissaka
Speaking after the game (in the SuperSport studio), former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel blasted Aaron Wan-Bissaka for his part in the goal.
“Wan-Bissaka is out there to the left, the ball gets crossed and now look at him. He is walking off, walking, walking, he’s jogging,” Schmeichel said.
“And Ivan Toney would have been offside had he followed the back-four line up and then that goal wouldn’t have happened.
Tremendous work by Ivan 🅰️

“Look at him [Wan-Bissaka] coming out! Look at it!
“That is not Manchester United, that’s not pride, that’s not high standards. That’s not focussing on what your job is."
United's slip means Erik ten Hag's men remain 6th, 8 points behind Tottenham, who came back from a goal down to defeat Luton Town 2-1 yesterday.
